About Me

Hello! My name is Stacy I live in PA and I am a happily married mother of three beautiful children! My wonderful husband is Nathan and my kids are Dillon 12, Kiera 10, and Kaylee 4. And I worked in psychology with mentally handicapped individuals for several years, which I loved! Luckily though, I have the opportunity to stay at home with my babies. I started this blog because my son has ADHD and used to have Absence Seizures. I know how difficult is can be raising a child with ADHD. I have been through ups and downs, med changes and just feeling lost. It is truly amazing how much it can affect their whole lives and the way they behave. My son is a loving, great kid with a heart of gold, but still he struggles to do the things he wants to do to succeed. It was hard for me to really understand his condition, so, I started researching it and I found things that made me understand the ADHD more and things I could do to help him succeed. I decided I wanted to share not only the information I find out ans continue to find out, but, our stories. I want to help other parents, siblings, family and friends understand and work with the condition. That's not as easy as it sounds, it is very frustrating at times. I've asked "How is it that hard, just bring your homework home!", what I didn't realize was that he really wanted to but, just forgets extremely easily. Anyways, I have made this site so families and friends know that they are not alone and they have a place to talk to others going through the same thing. So, please feel free to comment and ask any questions that you may have!
Also, check out my Mother and Child page about raising a family! Thanks for checking out my site! I hope you enjoy and find it useful, I always welcome feedback from readers.

  1. Hello Stacey,

I came across your site doing a google search and was very impressed with the support you offer to those with ADHD. I was wondering if I could potentially contribute by writing a guest post for your site's blog on the process of applying for Social Security Disability with ADHD for adults as well as children?

I am a writer for the Social Security Disability Help Blog and thus am familiar with how difficult it can be to be approved for benefits.

Please send me an email at ram@ssd-help.org if you think an article would help any of your readers and I would be happy to send over a draft for your review.

Thank you for your time and consideration,
