Fact#1~ The ADHD Awareness ribbon is purple (see right) although there are some that are orange.
Fact#2~ ADHD was first recognized as a disorder in 1902 by a Dr. Still from Britain and was given it's first name by him which was "Defect of Moral Control". (Find more on the history of ADHD by clicking here)
Fact#3~ In 1997 the American Medical Association stated that ADHD was one of the most researched disorders.
Fact#4~ ADHD Affects more than 15 million people just in America alone!!

I think it's definitely important for ADHD to receive more recognition. It can easily be a difficult thing to deal with. I don't think enough people understand how much it can impact everybody involved with it. Awareness is definitely the start to making things easier for people that deal with ADHD.
